2008/02/12 00:00ペイパルとイーベイのリンクできない問題で、eBayのLive Help・Paypalの日本語カスタマーサービスに問い合わせを行なって感じたのですが…一口にPaypalとeBayの関連付けといっても何種類かあります。それぞれの関連付けはどこからするのか？どれをやると何が出来るようになるのか？そしてそれぞれの関連付け作業同士はシステム上干渉し合うのか？eBay・Paypalのサポートスタッフも良く分かっていません。
eBayから行なうLinkについて訊ねたのに、Paypalから行なう別のリンクの作業について説明されたりして…「それって、関連があるんですか？」と訊くと「一応やってみて下さい」みたいな…
私の経験上では、こっちの手続きをしないとこっちも出来ないとか、eBayのIDとPaypalのアカウントの組み合せを揃えなければいけないとか、それぞれの手続きが干渉し合ったりする事はありません。逆に言うと、何か問題が生じた時、その問題を解決する為のリンクの作業は一つだけ。他のリンクの作業を行っても解決される事は決してないのです。
まず、この頃流行のPaypalとeBayの関連付け(Link/リンク)。
これはセラーさんもバイヤーさんもどちらにも関係する手続き。
特に比較的新しくIDを取得したメンバーには、本人確認の一種として殆ど必須とも言える作業です。

新規のセラー・バイヤーだけでなく、長い事関連付けをせずに出品できていたセラーさんでも、何かの拍子にこの手続きを求められる事があります。
例えば以前に書いた、特定のカテゴリ・アイテムの出品では偽ブランド、フェイクアイテム対策(anti-counterfeit)として、この手続きが必要になる場合があります。(»»出品できない〜！-PayPal Verified-)
バイヤーさんなら、Buyer Requirementsの「Buyers without a PayPal account」をブロックしている設定のアイテム(PayPal account required)に入札する時も必要。リンクが済んでいないとこんなメッセージ↓が出て入札できません。(»»Buyer Requirements（入札者の条件）-入札できない！！-)

ここで求められる作業は
Paypal上で利用拡張登録を完了させアカウントを「Verified(認証済み)」にする
eBay上で、eBayのIDとPaypalのアカウントをLink(関連付け)させるの2つです。
の手続き(利用拡張プログラム・Expanded Use Enrollment Process)は有名過ぎて今更説明不要。
の手続きは、My eBay > My Account > Addresss > View all shipping addressesと進み、表示される「 Add PayPal Addresses」のボタンをクリック。Paypalのメールアドレスとパスワードを入力する画面に飛ぶので、ログインして完了です。(画像参考»»できないリンクを無理矢理…)
複数のeBayのIDから、一つのPaypalアカウントへのリンクが出来ます。(名義違いでも問題なく…)
また、今回のような不具合でもない限りは、リンクもリンクの解除もいつでもすぐに出来ます。そして、支払の受取りや手数料の支払いとは一切関連がありません。
セラーをやっているeBay IDのリンク先がPaypalのPersonal(パーソナル)アカウントでも問題ありません。リンク先のPaypalアカウントと、支払の受取りに設定するPaypalアカウントが違っていても問題ありません。
バイヤーで利用するeBay IDのリンク先のPaypalアカウントと、支払に使用するPaypalアカウントが違っていても問題ありません。
リンクはリンク。単に「自分でコントロール可能なペイパルのアカウントを持っている」証明の役割のみです。
リンクが上手く行かない場合は、Paypalの登録住所を確認して下さい。Paypalの登録住所に日本語が混じっていると、eBayから住所の確認が出来ずリンクが完了しない場合があります。(»»Paypal日本語化の弊害)
